The New life stage model is as follows:

The Trustees have decided that with effect from the middle of April 2021 the pre-retirement portfolio will be changed to the KZN Moderate Portfolio which is made up of 50% in the KZN Managed Fund and 50% in the KZN Defensive Fund.  Therefore, with effect from the 12th April 2021 the default life stage model will be as follows:

As illustrated above, if you are invested in the life stage model then the assets invested in the KZN Defensive Fund will be moved to the KZN Moderate Fund during the period 12 April 2021 to 16 April 2021. It is important to remember that all members have the option to choose their own investment portfolios within a range of portfolios selected by the Trustees and it’s advisable to always consult a financial advisor before making any investment switches.

If you are currently invested in the KZN life stage model and wish to opt out of the “new” KZN life stage, you must submit a switch form to zzswitches@aforbes.com, before 23 March 2021, indicating your individual member choice portfolios that you wish to be invested in for this to be implemented on the administration system. The switch form can be obtained from your HR officer or the KZNMPF Front Office.
